One of the websites I’m developing for Furtainment is an entertainment search engine called Pikule, which is also the name of a small village in eastern Poland. The code I develop will power many of the individual website search engines across my network as well as the main website, pikule.com, possibly through an API.
Initially, it will focus on Furtainment content and media, and hopefully it will evolve to support entertainment content from the furry fandom and beyond. Prior to this, I was using WordPress and experimenting with a blog search engine, but I’ve moved away from WordPress due to security concerns and my full switch to static hosting in order to scale up to reach more visitors.
The search will feature Furtainment videos, posts, news, assets and anything else related but is primarily intended to find entertainment. I’ve also started setting up the GitHub repository for a web crawler, so perhaps in the future I’ll be a known web crawler searching and cataloguing entertainment and furry media.
Before I do anything global, I’ll be crawling my websites to catalogue what I have and guide bored visitors to what I have to offer. I’d also like to buy my own IPv4 block so it’s a little more professionally developed; that will have to be a lot later on, as they are pretty expensive.

I believe there are a lot of IPv6 addresses, though I'd prefer the old-school IPv4, as I think they are more trusted in the background of the internet infrastructure.
It'll likely start as a basic search engine and over time will develop into something more powerful for searching longer strings of text and queries. I’m not looking to make a Google or Bing competitor; I just want to make something specialist tailored around my content initially.
As of writing this, I have started development and rolled out the placement of where files will need to go and will start to build up a basic dataset of my content so I can preplan what needs to show in results for version 1 of the search engine.
As noted before I'm starting first with a single keyword search engine and will then figure out how to chain multiple strings of keywords to build results that correspond correctly to the required request. With version one I'm aiming for all languages, including a simple Furoric ruins search because long-term most of my content will be dual-featured in English and runes.
You should have all ready started to see Pikule branding around my website's search boxes, hover-over text and other markers, and Kilynn Tor will be working on its new logo as soon as she can.
