One of the things I've been trying to do is publish a full list of all of the domains Furtainment owns and organise them in a way that allows future developers making third-party tools and apps to understand how to route traffic to our content.
I started with a GitHub repo at https://github.com/Furtainment/Furtainment-Domains I did put some information in, but I've started to reorganise it and have started to change it into a dataset as well as a developer guide with open source scripts and software I'm developing myself.
I've also been thinking of making the repo into a website that's searchable; if I do that, I think it would have to be on a subdomain like network.furtainment.com with another access point domain being network.furtain.com, as those two domains work in parallel as ways to access the website.
For this I will be using another custom MkDocs software installation; this is one of my go-to website softwares for documenting my work and the worlds I create.
As I continue to write this dispatch, I've already started to set up the network subdomain and will move forward documenting it in a human fashion, as GitHub repos can be challenging to navigate.
Random WIP Artwork:
This is just a quick work‑in‑progress model of a Popcorn Cart I’ve been experimenting with. It’s not related to the post itself, I just like showing you some of my human created art, by dropping in whatever’s on my desk to break up the text and keep the Dispatch feeling like a real studio log. https://www.bokunofanservice.com/search/furtainment/
I'm grouping domains by categories like characters and originals, etc., and others by services. I'll try my best to make things easy to understand.
My hope in the future is that AI can understand what the domains are, and developers can make their own apps for the services I provide.
Next Steps:
- Add domains to the repo
- Setup the network subdomain
- Write more about the repo
