This is another one of those first entries for a movie I want to talk about, TokyoMaw is the name of a 3D animated movie I would like to make in the future. 'Maw' is a well-known word in the furry fandom and simply means the mouth of an animal, a maw. Sometimes used in adult conceptualisations within the furry fandom, the word for my purposes is not adult in nature and is more about playful movie branding.
Also, Tokyo is a well-known city and one of my favourite places. Though I have not been, I would say it's a mecca for anime-influence likers and/or the weebs like myself or those interested in the creative anime industry.
So naturally I put both words together, and as you can imagine, the movie will be set in Tokyo or a Tokyo-like 3D-modelled city.
I don't know much more about what I want it to be, the direction, etc.; that will have to be told in future dispatches about it. Suffice it to say, it's obviously anthropomorphic in nature and will be for the English Furshows website.
Random WIP Artwork:
This is just a quick work‑in‑progress model of an lantern I’ve been experimenting with. It’s not related to the domain itself, I just like dropping in whatever’s on my desk to break up the text and keep the Dispatch feeling like a real studio log. https://www.bokunofanservice.com/search/tokyomaw/
This is one of three domains I purchased a few years ago for future movies I want to develop for FurShows, and it will likely be made a long time in the future, but I will develop the artwork for the cover poster in advance, though that could also be subject to changes as the work on the movie develops.
Even though full production won't be for many years, I, as always, make collections of prototype 3D models for everything I develop, and this will be no different. As time moves forward, you'll be able to find those on Sketchfab and later my own fesothe3d.com, which is where I will need to migrate my collections of models too because of the potential for Sketchfab to be fully shut down in the future as it migrates to fab.com.
Next Steps:
- Prototype 3D models
- Build a collection of models
- Write more about the movie idea
