This Dispatch marks the start of my acquisition of something I can use for robotics and puppet storage. I’d like to use this Dispatch to talk briefly about how I’ll use this somewhat tall acquisition.
One of my neighbours moved out from another block. While I was being asked if I wanted anything that was left behind, I noticed a drying rack in the office flat. I didn’t think much of it at first I assumed it would just cause damp if I used it for clothes.
A day later, I acquired it for free after having an epiphany: it would be perfect for hanging up small robots and puppets for my Anthro Stage project.
So instead of using it as intended, I’ll be keeping it folded and repurposing it as compact storage for puppets and small robots. I’ll be making some 3D‑printed custom hangers and clip‑on attachments to expand what it can hold.
A pimp my clothes dryer situation, as you do.
Next Steps:
- Make some 3D coat style hangers
- 3D model some clip-on projects maybe cable holders?
- Tidy up and put it in its new place
